Non-database files go through Object Storage. Data is encrypted in transit, and we handle issues like character sets or LOBs, optimizing speed with parallel threads or table splitting.

Cutover & Validation

During the migration window, we perform cutover—quiescing the source, doing a final sync, and switching users to the cloud system. Abacasys coordinates this carefully, often during off-hours to reduce impact. We validate data (counts, samples, app tests) before handing over. The old system stays as fallback until confirmed.

Oracle Applications to OCI: We migrate entire application stacks (Oracle EBS, Siebel, custom Oracle Forms apps) from on-premises to OCI, including app servers, databases, and cloud networking integration. We specialize in specific application migrations (like EBS lift-and-shift to OCI)

Database Migrations/Upgrades: We handle Oracle Database migrations to OCI, often combined with upgrades. We ensure compatibility and leverage cloud database services (Autonomous DB, Exadata Cloud Service). Our DBA team assists in migrating non-Oracle databases into Oracle for consolidation.

Data Warehouse and Big Data Moves: We efficiently manage large data volumes for relocating data warehouses to Oracle Cloud (Autonomous Data Warehouse, Exadata). We also move on-premise big data to Oracle Cloud Data Lake or Big Data Service

Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Data Integration: For partial moves, we set up data replication between on-premise and cloud for hybrid setups,or between Oracle Cloud and another cloud for multi-cloud strategies. For example, replicating on premise databases to Oracle Cloud for reporting

SAP/Third-Party to Oracle Cloud: Even if your source isn't an Oracle product, if it involves an Oracle database or you want to move that system to Oracle's cloud, we can assist. Our broad experience enables migration of MySQL, SQL Server, or other systems into the Oracle Cloud ecosystem
